Description
Our client is a leader in the development of Test & Measurement Equipment. They are seeking a Product Manager for their Serial Data Test products.
- Lead internal engineering and customer design engineering with regard to product specifications
- Direct engineers on what is important to measure
- Identify market trends and emerging standards for Serial Data test products
- Do competitive analysis, develop product positioning and pricing
- Build relationships with the standards bodies
- Write specifications, application notes, and articles
- Train Sales and Applications Engineers.
- There will be an estimated 1-2 weeks per month travel, including to Asia.
Responsibilities
- BSEE required, MSEE preferred
- Minimum 3 years Product Marketing or Applications Engineering
- Deep understanding of high-speed serial data standards and applications.
- Must have experience with at least 2 of these at the Physical Layer: USB, PCI Express Ethernet, HDMI, SAS, SATA
- Technical Project Management skills
- Experience with identification of market trends, size, and requirements, product trade offs, and product lifecycle management
- Knowledge of Standards Committees, especially Serial Data Standards Committees
- Strong negotiation skills
Qualifications
Compensation: 110 - 130K plus bonus
