Description
The Director of Business Development will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of new business development for our server-client mobile internet offering. Customers include mobile network operators, major content providers, and handset manufacturers.
- Drive new software license business with existing customers and a defined list of new prospects in the Americas
- Coordinate customer meetings, evaluations, and technical workshops with product management, CTOs, systems engineering, development, marketing and executive management
- Work closely with bid team to develop comprehensive proposals to meet customer's product requirements and business models for the service
- Develop and deliver introductory presentations that include corporate overview, product features, competitive positioning, business models, etc.
- Provide customer and competitor feedback to the appropriate groups inside the company
- Cooperate with CFO and Legal to work through contract agreements
- Produce and deliver activity reports to management on a timely basis
- Conduct company business professionally at all times
Responsibilities
- 5+ years major account software sales and territory management, preferably in the mobile software space
- Experience creating value-based proposals for mobile network operators
- A demonstrated track record of successful sales to mobile network operators, major content providers, and/or handset manufacturers
- Ability to manage sales cycles and make executive level company/product presentations
- Ability to multi-task and manage several large customers' product roadmaps and service needs
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and the Internet
- Desire to be part of creating and building an exceptional business development team
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- Up to 50% travel
