Our client a leader in providing, wireless Internet solutions, seeks experienced, hands on Project Manager.

Job Description

• Estimate, develop and manage project plans for software development and deployment.
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of multiple projects.
• Communicate status and project issues via regular status reports.
• Participate in software development lifecycle key processes including project kickoff, requirements creation and management, artifact reviews, change management, testing, integration.
• Identify and mitigate project risks. Manage defect resolution: participate in change control boards and release planning.
• Manage scope and resource commitments.
• Coach/mentor/train team members.
• Use and adapt processes needed to manage on-time delivery with quality.
• Project Managers may participate in communicating with customers along with an account team

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in project management of software development.
• BA/BS from a four-year college; CS preferred.
• Expert in MS project
• Skilled with Java programming
• Prefer previous programmer who has moved into Project Management
• Hands-on experience in producing tangible deliverables, including project plans, risk analysis, requirements and specifications, status reports, project analysis.
• Experienced with one or more development paradigm, including RUP and any agile methodology.
• Able to work in an intense, high-pressure environment. Must be able to multi-task, manage details, and keep sight of overall objectives.
• Excellent communications skills, written and verbal
• Able to travel 20% to 40%.
• Experience in telecommunications, client/server, or browser development a plus
• Must be fluent in English. Ability to speak Spanish, German or Italian is a plus.

Compensation:  80 - 110K
