- Assisting customers in RF planning and optimization of our client's nanoBTS and femtocell.
- Provide remote technical support to our client's customers ensuring issues and questions are resolved to customer satisfaction within SLA.
- Responsibility for on-site installation, configuration and commissioning our client's BSS and OMCR. Ensure that these activities are executed on time and to the required quality standard.
- Provide technical support to both internal and external customers ensuring communicated information is accurate and customer feedback is positive.
- Generation of accurate and complete customer-facing documentation.
- Develop and deliver hands-on or classroom based customer training.
- Travel - 40%.
Job Description
To plan and perform complex 2G / 2.5G / 3G radio network optimization activities requiring knowledge of our client's Radio Network parameters, RF engineering principles and general RF optimization techniques. This role will be part of a team that provides technical GSM / GPRS BSS and IP support for our client's products to current and potential customers globally. This is a key customer-facing role that is required to strengthen the existing Customer Support team.
- Strong RF planning and optimization experience using a range of techniques and test equipment, for indoor environments
- Good knowledge of GSM and/or WCDMA systems from high level system functionality to the physical messages of the internal and external interfaces
- Good working knowledge of VoIP technologies
- Ideally have hands-on IP networking and configuration experience
- Ideally have familiarity with Linux / Unix support and system/network administration and installations
- Ideally experience of BSC / MSC /SGSN installation, integration, configuration and test
- Ideally CCNA certified
- Strong customer focus
- Strong problem solving skills - analysis/troubleshooting
- Very good written and verbal communications skills
- Knowledge of design and development product lifecycles
- Possess a flexible approach to situations and new challenges
- Ideally have some experience of customer training
- Willing to demonstrate decisiveness and appropriate judgment, escalating issues as appropriate
- Consulting, reporting and presentation skills
- Ability to develop working relationships with Product Development, Sales, Professional Services, System Test and Customers
- Must have EU passport to facilitate efficient global travel. Must be willing and able to travel internationally at short notice
- Degree or higher qualification in a relevant engineering or science subject preferred
