Job Description

    Our client provides interoperability solutions to first responders. They are seeking Sales Engineers to interface with their sales force and agent distribution network assisting with the technical implementation, deployment and successful integration of interoperable public safety communications networks. The Sales Engineers will also be responsible for training new agents, as well as developing and conducting mock incidents for customers. The position requires domestic travel of about 50%. Experience designing, installing and maintaining public safety radio systems is a prerequisite.

Qualifications

  • Five years+ experience designing and deploying public safety radio communication systems
  • Experience interacting with a large, national agent base
  • Good working knowledge of public safety two way radio systems (including conventional, P25, SmartNet/SmartZone, EDACS) and dispatch console systems
  • Working knowledge of IP networks, VoIP, RoIP and Linux systems
  • Working knowledge of FDMA, TDM, FSK, FM, AM, Spread Spectrum, RS232, RS449, V.35, T1/T3
  • Good working knowledge of BERT test sets, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, communications monitors, and transmission test sets
  • Ability to quickly grasp new products and technologies.
  • Ability to read schematics.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • FCC and APCO Certifications a plus
  • Multiplexer and microwave experience and tower site work/grounding experience a plus
  • 4-year college degree is preferred
  • Microsoft Office
