Job Description

The Production Artist is responsible for creating and developing all forms of visual wireless assets for worldwide distribution. This includes layout, design, illustration, and "pre-press" production using mainly Adobe software. Additionally, the productions artist will have the responsibility to quickly take on account service and project management responsibilities.

• Modify artwork for use in rendering mobile products, including: Wallpapers, Themes, Animations, Screen revolvers and other image based content types
• Generate final art files for mobile and web projects quickly and accurately
• Effectively execute assignments according to output specifics including dimensions, bleeds, resolution, color space, size, format, etc.
• Create and maintain automated rendering scripts used for batch conversions of mobile products
• Structure and package file assets according to defined specification
• Using design skills and creativity, ensure all layouts appear aesthetically correct while maintaining graphic standards and a consistent appearance
• Critique and suggest alternative layout and design solutions
• Provide support to all art assets and masters by maintaining a consistent and organized filing system on network server
• Receive creative requests, open jobs logs and fulfill requests
• Create new artwork for projects as needed according to direction and function

Qualifications

• BA in Graphic Design
• Minimum of 4 years production/graphic design experience
• High level of competency with Macintosh, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, scripting, and Acrobat
• Knowledge of Flash, HTML, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio)
• Knowledge of media file formats including mobile specific extensions (e.g. CMX/pmd, gif, jpg, tiff, png)
• Outstanding production skills and knowledge of automated production processes
• Strong eye for design, layout and typography skills
• Ability to multi-task and problem solve while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong project/time management skills
• Working knowledge or experiences with mobile content development, digital download product development
• Ability to take direction and be flexible while working both independently and with others
• Ability to produce error-free results in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
• Tolerance for repetitive production tasks
• Excellent ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with co-workers
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to monitor and communicate the status of projects
