Our client's regional office in Northern California provides essential partner management, business development and technical support services, working with leading technology providers, handset manufacturers and network operators in North America.
We are searching for a candidate to fill a Developer Marketing Manager role, part of the Developer Product Marketing team based at our client's US offices. The individual will provide the leadership and innovation required to position our client as a prime target for mobile developers in the US.
Job Description
The Developer Product Marketing team is responsible primarily for the communication, monitoring and improvement of our client's developer products, services and offering through the development of marketing programs and account management of targeted stakeholders, including device manufacturers, Semicos and Academia.
The candidate will join a growing developer marketing team and will report to the Head of Developer Experience and Engagement.
- Participate in the prioritization and rollout of developer marketing programs
- Liaise with developer marketing team representatives based at various regional offices to coordinate and ensure timely delivery of devised developer programs
- Represent our client and our client's developer products externally at industry and developer events, meetings, and road shows - includes public speaking responsibility
Developer Program Roll-Out
- Manage relationships with key developer accounts
- Represent our client as the primary go-to-person for selected US-based device creation developer accounts and affiliated developer programs.
- Maintain dialogue with key accounts to monitor the developer experience, identify and respond to various needs that surface within these organizations, and coordinate with other functional groups and industry partners
Account Management
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our client's various developer programs and initiatives
- Survey, analyze and monitor the satisfaction of our client's developers in the areas of device creation and application development
- Support our client's promotional campaigns aimed at developers through direct and indirect marketing activities
- Define and implement processes and metrics to gauge developer satisfaction as a result of devised marketing program
- Set up clearly defined processes and channels for communicating findings about accounts to the rest of our client and to stakeholders.
Program Enhancement and Developer Satisfaction Monitoring
- Bachelor degree in technical discipline (computer science preferred)
- Marketing qualification is a plus, but not mandatory
- Strong references
- 25% Travel.
Qualifications
Experience
-
§ Manager role in developer, product or platform marketing in a technology business
§ 5+ years experience in customer-facing role(s)
§ Knowledge of our client's developer offering
§ Knowledge of software development patterns, methods and challenges
§ Proven success in building collaborative programs across multidisciplinary
§ Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional teams
- Good written and verbal communication
- Strong presentation skills, including preparing presentations, speaking publicly, and conducting internal briefings at all levels in an organization
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, self-starter
