Job Description

    Our client's Wireless Field Test Team is responsible for testing the new data devices in the field; participate in Field Interoperability Tests (FIT) with clients and carriers, and competitive testing of the devices designed by various OEM's. Team members will interact closely with systems / RF engineering and software developers, and interface with major carrier. Candidates should be flexible in their work assignments as priorities can change quickly in this fast paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Sound understanding of communications systems with focus on CDMA technology.
  • Minimum of two years experience in field of communications and testing.
  • Solid understanding of IS-95, IS-2000, and 1xEV-DO required.
  • Working experience and knowledge of diagnostics and post processing tools such as QXDM, CAIT, QCAT, and Friendly Viewer is a basic requirement for this position.
  • The candidates must be able to evaluate wireless communications devices through drive tests, logging and post analysis.
  • Must be able to develop test procedures, execute tests, and isolate issues.
  • Familiarity with Perl scripting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior testing experience using channel emulators, spectrum analyzers and related equipment desirable.
  • Candidate must work well with others in a technical environment.
  • MapInfo, Excel, Word, Powerpoint. Familiarity with WindCatcher is desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering required.
  • Percent of Travel Required: 10% - 20% (mainly domestic)

Compensation:  85 - 90K
