Company Description

Our client is a leading provider of software for the government, military, utilities, communications and public safety systems.

Onsite Resident Engineer for the New York State Police Duties include trouble shooting and maintenance of Public Safety software, technical support and configuration, Oracle Database Maintenance, and system administration duties relating to map maintenance.
Oracle DBA experience needed (installation, configuration, maintenance, tuning and troubleshooting).
Prior experience with computer-aided dispatch, policing and/or supporting Public Safety Mobile Data terminals and related software, AVL and wireless data systems is a plus.
Prior experience desired supporting, implementing, training or certifying sophisticated enterprise software solutions.
Good understanding of WAN/LAN/Wireless networks.
Must have a strong Windows OS and MS Office knowledge.
Basic knowledge of GIS/Mapping principles and processes are highly desired.
Acts as a liaison between New York State Police and our client.
Other duties as assigned.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a team and independently.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
