Experience Summary:

CDMA Base Station Transceiver (BTS) Software Development Manager

• Manage a team of 13 software engineers including recruiting, goal-setting, appraisals, assignment and supervision of tasks, training and mentoring.
• Functional ownership of modem software development including Dedicated Channel Call Processing, Physical and MAC layer software, and drivers for CSM 5000 and CSM 6800 modem  (Qualcomm's CDMA chipset for 1x RTT/CDMA 2000 and 1x EV DO respectively).
• Lead a team of 12 BTS software designer (including technical guidance, task assignment, and supervision) through all phases of s/w development cycle to deliver a solution for Adaptive Antenna Beam Selection (AABS) project.
• Interface and integrate development from TCS (India), GDNT (China), LG (South Korea), Airvana (US).
• End to End leader and BTS Software development manager for a future project (dual responsibility):
  Lead a team of 10 BTS software designers through all phases of s/w development cycle.
  Lead a cross functional team of 25 engineers (BTS, OAM, Systems, and Product Test/QA).
  Manage risks and deliverables for the entire project.
  Work with other  managers, PLM, marketing, documentation, operations, systems, product test to coordinate all aspects of project including software development, customer interactions, product test/QA, documentation, operations (Verification Office, Global Product Support teams), and product roll out to the field.
  Manage approximately $5M budget for the program. This includes head count, capital/material, training, and travel expenses.
