Communications System Specialist II
- Responsible for communications and electronics maintenance for district and statewide communications and ITS systems.
- Duties included design, maintenance and repair of statewide 800 MHZ EDACS system including IMC and EDG, VHF repeater and base station network, microwave backbone systems, PBX and VoIP telephone systems, PLC based alarm and monitoring equipment, inside and outside cable plant including Cat 5/6, fiber optic and 802.11 wireless networking.
- Responsible for maintenance, network design and implementation of all deployed ITS control and notification systems including weather monitoring, DMS and HAR equipment.
- Design, engineering and testing of emerging technology systems and repair of all equipment to the component level.
- Integrate equipment with computer, programming and network operations as required.
