Design Engineer (Contract Engineering Position)
- Designed, built and wrote software for a TI Chipcon Zigbee based emergency response radio system. This interfaced with a cell phone via Bluetooth and used a modified Zigbee radio protocol for the over-the-air communications. This unit also interfaced to a landline telephone system.
- Design wireless interface boards for the company's internet appliance. These interfaces allow attachment of Zigbee, 802.11a/b/g, WiMAX, GPS, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, CDMA, and other digital radio protocols to the internet appliance.
- Design test system for POP Shelf Player, an automatic point-of-sale advertisement system which includes color TFT video, LCD sales information, dedicated digital wireless hardware, an ARM7 and Atmel processors.
- Additional duties included repairing prototype and failed production units.
