• Provides rapid deploy-able communications support.
• Performs preventive/corrective maintenance on High Frequency (HF), Very High Frequency (VHF), Ultra High Frequency (UHF) ground-to-air radio transceivers, and secure voice/data/facsimile satellite radio terminals. Satellite telephone systems, tactical switch boards, field phones, key encryption devices, land mobile radios, deploy-able public address systems, portable microwave/radio systems and general support and power productions equipment.
• Uses sophisticated electronic test equipment and detailed circuit diagrams to troubleshoot faulty systems and components.
• Participates and conducts on-the-job upgrade training.
• Responsible for completion of maintenance documentation and supply actions.
• Monitors and inventories critical historic records, and Tools and test Measurement and Diagnostic equipment.
• Performs analyzing of Cellular/Maintenance contracts for use with Base Policies.
• Programs multiple Motorola systems to include Basic Access Module(BAM), Saber 1-3, XTS-3000, XTS-5000, Saber Astros, Keynote and Gold touch pagers
