Regional Manager, Channel Sales

Recruited to help start a new business unit, Advanced Wireless Services, which delivers end-to-end solutions for network operators, manufacturers, VARs and other wireless channel partners who are bringing advanced wireless products and services to their clients.

  • Tasked with building and implementing new channel program to include value added resellers and system integrators.
  • Develop and execute new market entry strategy including identification and recruitment of strategic alliances & channel partners.
  • Manage supplier relationships: Motorola, Palm, RIM, Nokia, Cingular, Sprint and Verizon Wireless.
  • Develop and implement marketing and tactical plans, including screening and qualifying viable business opportunities.
  • Build & Deliver the Revenue Plan for the Geography/ Vertical/ Segment
  • Build & Manage the Channel Sales & Business Development Organization
  • Work in close synchronization with the operations and customer support
  • Manage services/ delivery in the defining of the market requirement and go-to-market strategy
  • Exploit existing network/ relationship to network & create lasting relationships with Clients
  • Build and train channels sales team for 22 state region. Manage team to recruit partners, exceed goals and quotas.
  • Provide strategic input to sales, marketing and supplier relationships on enabling technologies, features and functions relative to new market opportunity.
  • Key member of management team to identify and negotiate supplier contracts.
  • Strengthen sales team by coaching ad exceeding performance objective while implementing rewards for performance programs to hire and retain the company's most talented individuals.
