- Managed the overall RF optimization, design, and day-to-day activities of sub-areas within the Chicago GSM network. Also focused specific Systems Engineering expertise to upgrading and improving Network elements and performance.
- Supervised and supported network upgrade and rehome efforts quickly identifying and correcting problems before customers were impacted.
- Developed specialized tools and OMC scripts to identify network parameter issues (one-way neighbors, etc.) aiding to the overall improvement of the network's performance.
- Optimized cell site locations and quantities based on both capacity and coverage requirements, antenna planning (type, downtlits, orientations, etc.), and frequency/network planning (C/I optimization, neighbor lists, etc.) improving the overall sub-area HI (Health Index) from 50 to 96 on a scale of 100.
- Utilized various troubleshooting techniques and tools (daily Metrica reports, OMC Audits, Call-Path-Trace analysis, etc.) to identify both hardware and parameter faults within the network improving individual sites' HI to as high as 99.9.
- Worked closely with other departments (Construction, Operations, etc.), Field Technicians, and other team members to accomplish said duties building close, productive relationships.
- Promptly addressed customer service complaints by issuing Trouble Tickets, Work Orders, or modifying the existing network design improving the "Customer's Experience".
- Mastered the ODYSSEY RF planification tool increasing the number of familiar RF propagation tools to 4 (the other 3 tools are Asset, NetPlan, and dBPlanner).
