System Test Engineer
Testing switch accounting and billing functionality, including AMA processing control, voice CDR collection, trunk group meter collection, customer billing output type, AMA processing parameter, AMA billing profile, distribution configuration, distribute output file to Tape, distribute output file to downstream billing system as configured, distribution control, and distribution schedule, On demand distribution, voice CDR query, format processing info, native CDR files, format output files, and processing logs. Verify alarm or event for final billing file disk usage, cleanup final billing file and table entries. Configure and verify customer billing output type in VCDR, SprintLDD, fixBinayCDR, Streamline BAF, Standard BAF, MBAF, and KDDI. Responsible for the testing of all equipment and facilities required for Billing, Class4/Class5, and CALEA making certain that there are no technical issues with the implementation on voice and data networks. Familiarity with VOIP architecture, Linux, Solaris, Ethereal and data captures. Provides technical support for multiservice technologies to customers. Applies analytical skills and technical knowledge to handle critical customer issues/problems. Provides lab setups to recreate and solve problems. Performed on site support as required for customer test execution, patching and upgrades.
Wrote and executed features test plan for billing and Class5, including C++, JAVA GUI, CLI, and SQL. Completed features testing within assigned time frame. Identified and corrected problems before meeting FOA quality. Retested fixes related to features. Wrote and executed CALEA and lawful call intercept features test plan. Executed switch upgrade and installation for loads released. Wrote billing regression test plan. Used DevTrack to report problems not meeting standards. Interfaced with developers to serve in system functional specification and feature design specification.
Executed C5 regression test plans such as automatic callback, automatic recall, BBG group, call forwarding variable, call transfer, multiline hunt group, three-way calls, call references, call forwarding control, MADN/OPX, selective call forwarding, selective call accept, selective call reject, call name delivery, call number delivery, call identity delivery block, call wake up, call forward by time of day, call trace, call waiting, and budget phone prepaid AIN support. Configured SIP phone, SIP-DAL, SIP-T, MGCP, MEGACO, ISUP, PRI, BICC, CAS-DAL, CAS-Trunk, R2-DAL, and R2-Trunk to use for billing and C5 regression test as well as used INET, and SIP-P tool to simulate calls. Tested national and international calls, including call flows from line to line within original central office and connected to another central office via SS7 trunk through inter-working with wireline MSC switch. Worked closely with developers to resolve technical issues.
