Tech III

• Project manager, setup, installed and repaired electronic communications equipment, OSP engineering including but not limited to radio, microwave, and satellite systems on land, offshore (including production platforms, drilling rigs, boats and other offshore based structures).
• Installed wires through ceilings and/or under floors, in cable trays or where ever installation is required.
• Shop duties included fabrication, set up, repair and cleaning of equipment. Acquisition and return of assets and spare equipment and maintaining adequate supply levels.
• Communicate job progress to customers, Job Manager and Technical Services. Installed Avaya IP Dynasty Systems, and Nortel PBX,
• Installed Cisco 7940 and the 7960 multi-function VoIP phones and the WAP, LWAPP, WLSE, and service module engines LEAP and WISM. Cisco switches 3560 series with POE and Cisco 1700 routers. Cisco firewall installation with support, and install video connectivity systems for offshore video conferencing for clients any where in the world.
• Maintained an active role in mentoring Technician levels I and II. Participated in the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
• Provided leadership and set an example for the organization and possessed a "Customer First" attitude.
• Knowledge of computer networking systems, components, and performing network architectural design for Insors ACCESS Grid Video Conferencing.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of Cisco routers, digital muxes, satellite modems and radios, media converters, fiber, up/down converters, telephony and stabilized antennas.
