Delivered a Java/EJB/J2EE-based Internet Servers to support e-commerce applications through cell phones. On-line within 6 months, with Best Buy as the first major client for the ASP business.
- Drove the delivery of a wireless PDA (HW, embedded OS, PDA client and Web Server Applications) with quality, usable applications in email/messaging, news, Internet micro browser, games, stock trading. Led 60 managers and engineers from 4 different companies in 6 cities in US, China.
- Turned around a laggard department plagued by poor quality, unsupportable product and shoddy development process into a stable, high quality network server software platform.
- Set up a development center in China to develop GPS vehicle location and Fleet Management System using GRPS and CDMA wireless modem.
- Led a team of 2 managers and 8+ engineers to develop multiple products in digital simulation software. Developed specifications, project schedules, budget, and resource allocation. Coordinated development with sites in Israel, Colorado and Oregon.
