Experience Summary:

We are currently representing an excellent Broadband Optical Transport Specialist, who has over 25 years of hands-on and supervisory experience working both inside and outside plant on fiber-optic based networks for major telecom and vendor companies.

Some of his accomplishments include:

• Recognized for outstanding ability in planning, engineering, installation, splicing, configuration, provisioning, testing, turn up, troubleshooting, repair, operations and maintenance of transport, data, voice, video, internet, and switched (NORTEL DMS 500) network equipment, cabling systems, and circuits ranging from the DS0 through the OC-192/10 Gbps level.
• Instrumental in the start-up and continued operations of multiple successful telecom, data, and video networks.
• Experienced with trouble shooting, problem isolation and repair knowledge of SONET, DWDM, ROADM, BLSR, UPSR, MPLS, DSL, SS7, TDM, TCP/IP, Ethernet, SNMP, LAN, MAN, WAN, ATM, and wireless technologies.
• Equipment experience including Fujitsu, Adtran, ADVA, Alcatel, BTI, Ciena, Cisco, Infinera, Optelian, Tellabs.

Our candidate is currently based in the Southwest and is willing to relocate or travel anywhere for the right opportunity. He is open to contract or permanent positions.
