Our client is a national telecommunications services firm.
The Business Development Director is someone who focuses on their goals and priorities along with going the extra mile in covering all aspects of account management and service to our clients. He or she should be willing to travel extensively and maintain and expand existing relationships and accounts along with developing new business opportunities. Working closely with the operations and sales team, you will determine the customer needs and opportunities and translate to proposals and agreements on scope of work. Ultimately the goal is to increase revenue and maintain profitability.
This is a hands-on business development position working in a collaborative, team-based sales environment. You will manage relationships at senior levels with prospective partners, prospecting and engaging clients, developing proposals and contracts in the process of acquiring new business, identifying key market trends and solutions in order to effectively contribute to the market growth and evolution of the Company’s solutions/services
Generate new business opportunities through inside/outside sales activities such as prospecting, telemarketing territory planning and relationship building
Manage and expand relationships with existing clients, projects and accounts
Prepare and present professional proposals and presentations
Work with Corporate team to develop sales monthly, yearly sales forecast and reports.
Responds to client requests (RFP, RFQ, RFI), which frequently include cost justification, business case and technical specifications
Support of the marketing efforts of the company through attendance at company and industry events and conferences
Conduct monthly and or quarterly account reviews with existing clients
Participate in sales team meetings and progress reporting as needed including quarterly goal review sessions
Maintain up to date, detailed client and prospect records in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool of record (Pipedrive)
5+ years of experience in enterprise business development and/or account management experience for the Wireless Industry
Knowledge of consultative selling techniques and relationship selling
Strong sales and presentation skills
Experience with account development, processes and systems for setting new prospect appointments.
Strong communication skills both oral and written
Ability to work autonomously and excellent time management skills
Self-disciplined, organized and driven for success
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and cloud based software tools such as Customer Relationship Management, Expense Reporting, Travel services,
Willingness to travel extensively
