Our client is a leading designer and manufacturer of rugged, reliable antenna solutions.
Basic Function & Responsibility:
Lead and manage the success, growth and profitability of our client’s Mobile Terrestrial and Mobile OTA Antenna Systems business. Establish, lead, mentor, manage and motivate a World Class team in product development, operations / manufacturing, marketing / sales to drive growth in market share and financial performance to meet / exceed annual operating plan objectives as approved by the President, CFO and Chairman.
Focus the business on delivering its vision via Innovation, exceptional value, ease of installation and use and robust user performance. Protect, enhance and promote the exceptional value of the company’s brand within all markets and channels, and maintain a high level profile and personal relationship with the top decision makers at all key customers, while developing growing relationships with prospective customers. Own the technology that drives our client’s antenna systems and the internet portals that inform and drive global sales.
Characteristic Duties & Responsibility:
40% of the role:
Build, mentor and retain best team to develop & execute the consumer products business unit annual operating plan, assuring continued growth in share and margins, to meet or exceed the annual operating plan net sales and operating income objectives, and further cement the company’s standing with its customers and its appeal to prospective customers.
Monitor performance to plan weekly. Review with the business unit executive staff (direct reports), any Delta between monthly actuals & monthly annual operating plan budget, to determine reasons for the shortfall and the corrective actions that will get the business back on plan. Document this in a one page report to the President within 3 working days of receiving the monthly P&L.
15% of the role:
Ensure all business unit employees are safe, respected, understand & care about the unit’s challenges and opportunities to ensure and harness their collective talents.
20% of the role:
Supervise the marketing / sales plan & implementation to ensure the business unit meets or exceeds its annual operating plan. Develop and nurture professional and personal relationships at all key accounts and prospects. Utilize these contacts to help diffuse or resolve current issues, facilitate the growth of the current business, open the doors for new business and uncover future new products and other growth opportunities.
15% of the role:
Direct new product development, value engineering, quality, pricing strategies, policies, and product mix strategy for the business unit, so as to assure the sustained relevance of our client’s brand, and ensure a roadmap for sustained growth via improved share in existing products and downstream revenues from new products.
15% of the role:
Assure the development & successful implementation of world class processes to produce/ deliver at the lowest cost with consistent, optimum quality & shortest throughput time.
