PHD in electrical engineering or MSEE in engineering, and a minimum of fifteen years related RF experience
We are seeking an LTE System Architect that has LTE system experience, expertise in modeling and evaluating RF performance in wireless base stations.. Engineering responsibilities will begin at the conceptual phase and extend through product design and deployment. This is an excellent position for a talented, motivated seasoned engineer seeking the opportunity to develop industry leading solutions.
Leverage knowledge of LTE architecture and familiarity with other wireless base station architectures
Must have demonstrated expertise in RF modeling of signals and familiarity with max lab LTE tools, from conception to design validation and verification of product system level RF and power.
Expertise in engineering methods, measurement techniques, in high-frequency components to address product design requirements and state of the art of components used in wireless telecom
Expertise in use of industry standard high-frequency test and measurement equipment/design and simulation tools
Familiarity with base station equipment (particularly RF front ends), including Ericsson and Nokia. Also should be familiar with system integration issues.
Must be familiar with software development, FPGA development and signal processing algorithm development and analysis
Should have laboratory experience with test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, and multi meters.
Design expertise state of the art of components used in wireless telecom (400 MHz-3 GHz), to the design, prototyping, and testing of digital receivers and Heterodyne analog RF processing
System level familiarity with all the variations of air interfaces.
CPRI interface basic knowledge
Must be familiar with and understand the concepts of radio frequency propagation and transmission theory, including system link budgets, amplifier gain and noise figure, insertion loss, inter-modulation, and return loss.
Good communication skills. Able to clearly and concisely communicate with team members, sales team, customers and management on issues concerning designs and other business issues
Signal processing algorithm development and analysis.
Desirable to Have:
Good leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to work in a team with various backgrounds.
Prior project management experience.
Documenting all phases of the design process in compliance with ISO 9001:2000 quality standard requirements is a plus
Willingness to do some travel to support sales team and to support introduction of new products evaluation and trials.
Experience in applying design for manufacture principles, and supporting manufacturing with engineering expertise as required is a plus
Initiating action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process or the quality system, up to and including when necessary stopping production to correct quality problems.
