Job Description:

The primary role is to provide functional and technical support for products and related system software. A secondary role may include providing remote training for products and related system software.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • First and second tier support for proprietary software products via telephone or email to customers and Managed Services Organization
  • Remote training of proprietary software products
  • Remote installation and upgrade for proprietary software products
  • Communicate to customers the steps necessary to maintain and update software products
  • Assist in documentation of software products
  • Assist in testing new releases
  • Any other duties and/or responsibilities as may be assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to understand Telecom Call Accounting
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet SLA’s and deadlines
  • Ability to promptly answer support related email, phone calls and other electronic communications
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability and willingness to log/document communications with customers, problems they experienced, and resolutions implemented
  • Self-Motivated, detail-oriented and organized
  • Experience with hardware and software issues
  • Proficient in Internet related applications such as E-Mail clients, FTP clients, and Web Browsers
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of MS SQL 2000/2005/2008, SQL Report Generation (Crystal / Business Objects / MS SSRS), MS Windows 2000/2003/2008, and .NET.

Education and Experience:

College degree preferred but not required; or three or more years related experience
