Experienced Radio Communication Technician will be responsible for testing, installation, repair and maintenance of 800/700, conventional and/or trunking two-way radio products to include: analog and digital radio equipment including mobile and portable radios, and dispatching equipment, portable, mobile, repeater, microwave and control equipment from manufacturers such as Motorola, Kenwood and ICOM along with others.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Must have and be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of:
  • RF circuitry and propagation, digital circuitry, solid state
  • Circuitry and A/C circuitry.
  • RF troubleshooting
  • Installation of telecommunications equipment
  • Testing and maintaining two-way radio and associated equipment
  • Programming radio equipment
  • Good applied computer skills
  • Ability to learn and put to use various aspects of high tech wireless equipment maintenance
  • Must be able to read and understand electronic drawings, schematics and documentation
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and repair at component level electronic equipment from schematics
  • Must have good hearing and vision
  • Must be competent in electronic equipment as related to job tasks
  • Must be able to lift items that weigh 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Must demonstrate competency in electronics soldering (surface and through hole)
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. ETA industry standard Certified Electronics Technician.
  • Preferred candidates possess: RF Communications or equivalent certification or 4+ year’s RF Electronics experience.
  • Effective communicator
  • Requires computer skills at a functioning proficiency
  • Ability to represent the company at all levels within organization
  • Ability to be self-motivating a necessity
  • Possess an ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • You must have the ability to work various hours on occasion but the position is normally 8am to 5pm M-F. Relocation costs are negotiable.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and have a current active Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
