Job Description:

We are in need of experienced Communications Technicians for full time positions to install and maintain public safety communications systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Respond promptly to customer needs in a positive, supportive and timely manner.
  • Communicate job progress to supervisor and customer.
  • Complete service orders.
  • Be on call on a rotation basis.

Qualifications:

  • AA in Electronics preferred or several years of comparable technical experience.
  • Experience installing and maintaining trunked radio systems, ideally P25 systems.
  • Experience servicing other 911 Dispatch Center equipment, such as call handling / phone equipment, dispatch consoles, mapping software and systems, video surveillance, CAD systems, etc.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Good written, and verbal and customer communication skills.
  • Computer Networking experience preferred.
  • Valid driver license with clean driving record required.
