Job Description:

We are on the searching for an experienced Wireless Program Manager with strong interpersonal skills and a positive, upbeat personality to manage a large wireless infrastructure project in and around New York City. You will be the key link between our client, field engineers and our management team. You will be the type of leader who engages your project with enthusiasm, diligence and routinely goes to the city to solve problems in person with your construction engineers.

Responsibilities:

As the Program Manager, you will be responsible for providing a dashboard for where we stand with all our client projects. You will work with management to understand which key metrics are important to the organization and our clients. You will learn about data visualization and how to visualize Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to build a transparent organizational structure. You will also be the lead for all our internal technology projects working with the various internal groups to establish the timelines and accountability throughout the organization and its key vendors. Our project teams are experts in delivering results for our clients and this role will require you to be in a state of inquiry as the projects are technical and complex with many stakeholders involved.

Requirements:

  • Develop and manage Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) based on project milestones and pay points
  • Handling all new project coordination and setup, conference calls, Smartsheets, driving vendor/client project reports, scheduling, and presentation slides/reporting.
  • Monitoring schedules and alerting on conditions which may lead to delays in the completion of work or delays
  • Conducts end to end program management of one or more programs containing multiple large projects, or portfolio management of a large scope entire portfolio that are company-wide, cross functional and/or strategic in nature.
  • Communicating progress associated with each project to the client via daily & weekly reports, daily standup meetings, software project management tools and in person presentations.
  • Providing detailed documentation and written record as to the progress, problems, solutions, completions and other items which reflect the progress (or lack thereof) to respective project stakeholders
  • The role requires frequent visits with the construction engineering team in the field, approximate 25% travel per month to the greater metropolitan New York City area.
  • Managing large project databases and utilizing Project Management software as a service (SaaS) tools.
  • Ability to work with a diverse project team both internal and external to actively solve problems or roadblocks to achieving project milestones
  • Establishing parameters for Vendor Management, developing systems and processes to score and evaluate vendor performance
  • Manage a team of construction engineers, project coordinators and project admins.
  • Works with Project Management Office (PMO) to effectively communicate Scope of Work (SOW) changes, personnel performance, billing reconciliation and client issues or roadblocks.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ prior experience in management and project management in the area of wireless telecommunications implementation.
  • Macro Cell Site Construction (Rooftop, Towers)
  • Small Cell Projects
  • Cell Site Modification Projects: Generator, HVAC, Antenna, Remote Radio Heads, Fiber
  • DAS/In-Building Projects
  • Fiber Delivery in Metro Areas
  • Site Acquisition Projects
  • Real Estate Projects
  • 7-10 years overall experience in telecommunications implementation (inclusive of management experience), preferably the wireless sector
  • Experience managing many remote teams from a central location.
  • Proven ability to manage wireless industry vendors
  • Experience leading daily or weekly meetings, including documenting action items and ensuring deadlines are met.
