This position requires strong leadership, recruiting and coaching skills to motivate the regional sales force in revenue generation.
The Sales Manager is an indoor and outdoor network coverage design and product specialist who serves in a customer facing role. The SM primarily responsibility is to help ensure the company is meeting the customer’s requirements, from both a technical and business perspective. The SM is also responsible for helping facilitate communication between the customer and the company’s design engineering, program management and support organization to ensure that all resources are aligned and revenue targets are achieved. The SM will have a strong understanding of the practical implications of various methodologies that may be used for designing and implementing of indoor and outdoor networks to best address a particular customer requirement.
The SM must be familiar with a variety of technical concepts associated with Network Design such as link budgets, frequency planning, inter-system interference and propagation basics related to Distributed Antenna systems.
SM is responsible for sales and support of the company’s DAS/In-Building products in North America, plus appointment and management of the Sales channel partners and key customers in the region.
Develop, promote and monitor effective sales plans that drive strategic objectives and tactical actions throughout territory to achieve sales and investment goals for indoor and outdoor DAS solutions.
Development and management of all regional channel partner contracts and agreements.
Work to identify, validate and close locations for indoor and outdoor coverage solutions for Enterprise (GEMS) business deficiencies for both carrier and public safety solutions.
Identify new business opportunities within wireless carriers, tower owners, consultants and other new prospects through research, calls, meetings and presentations.
Effectively communicate with customer technical and operational personnel on the technical aspects associated with indoor and outdoor coverage solutions.
Incubate new business models and opportunities within the carriers.
Help facilitate communication between the customer and the company design engineering resources to ensure that all objectives are clearly established and understood.
Develop sales forecasts (monthly, quarterly, and annual revenues) in support of S &OP
Recommends and provides regular (trip and market condition) reports to company management.
Identification of potential growth area and business trend.
Management of expenses in compliance with plan and company policies.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor of Science, Engineering degree preferred (combination of equivalent work experience and educational background considered) Minimum of 3 to 5 years work experience in the wireless industry, (Carrier and Public Safety).
Knowledge of indoor and outdoor network design engineering and wireless infrastructure equipment.
Superior organization skills with a strong initiative to lead customer sales presentations with consistent follow through until deal close.
Strong account relationship skills, creative, driven & self motivated, with the ability to work independently and with a team.
Ability to problem solve and provide recommendations and solutions to meet customer requirements.
Excellent closing skills with the innate ability to overcome objections and obstacles throughout the sales process.
Familiar with current wireless technologies such as UMTS, CDMA, EVDO and LTE.
The position requires extensive travel throughout North America.
