Director of North American Sales (Acting Vice President)
Reporting directly to the C.E.O and President of this global manufacturer and direct marketer of wireless and location-based products, senior member of the executive team leading the company from a private start-up to public offering resulting in a $300 million dollar company valuation. Responsible for North American sales and marketing activities surrounding the launch of the company's industry leading location- based services platform for both consumer and enterprise markets. Support executive team in product planning and future company direction. Manage cross-functional departments in support of sales and marketing strategy.
Accomplishments Include:
- Developed and implemented strategic sales and marketing direction for Tier 1 and Tier 2 wireless carriers, national consumer retail, channel/alliance partners and resellers.
- Established relationships at the executive level with accounts such as: AOL, Cingular Wireless, Bell Mobility, Best Buy, Brightstar, Cellstar, Circuit City, CompUSA, Radio Shack Canada, Rogers Wireless, Shop At Home, T-Mobile USA, plus many others.
- Initiate and manage both online and offline affinity programs.
- Direct company's marketing efforts to create consumer pull demand.
- Manage all aspects of retail programs including Co-op, MDF, merchandising, and training.
- Identified new markets/revenue opportunity for enterprise and government accounts
- Managed tradeshows, public relations, and facilitated national media exposure.
