Experience Summary:
Product Manager/System Engineer (Next Generation UMTS Phone)
- Working with three major European Carriers (Vodafone Company, T-Mobile and Orange) on 3G handset requirements. Responsibilities include the introduction of new smart phone features (e.g., Push-to Talk over Cellular, Mobile TV, Video telephony, Location Service, WiFi/WIMAX, Presence Management, HSDPA, SyncML, and IMS Subsystems).
- Negotiating with Japanese Engineers and product marketing the launch program for new smart phone product, and the time to market for enhanced features. Preparation of cross-functional compliance marking, customer interface and roadmap definition.
- Working with various OEM/ODM vendors to negotiate the final product requirements and prepare the product roadmap (e.g., Freescale, Nokia and Symbian).
- Preparing technical presentations for Vodafone's operating companies in (France, England, Germany, Portugal, and other Eastern European countries). Working with the global engineering group to promote new technologies and discuss advance enhancements for smart phone market.
