Senior LMR Systems Engineer

Provide technical assistance to enhance interoperable communications between local, State, and Federal emergency responders and public safety officials.  The technical assistance is provided in four areas:

• Requirements Definition: Identify the communications requirements of emergency service organizations during coordinated public safety responses to terrorist events through meetings with managerial and operational personnel as well as thru the conduction of site surveys. The current LMR architecture will be assessed in detail. The outcome will be a detailed definition of interoperability needs.
• Enhancement Definition: Assess a variety of potential solutions that could address the needs identified during the requirements definition. Solutions may be short-term and long-term, integrating other local, State, and Federal initiatives.  This area includes assistance in technical definition and evaluation of RFIs, RFQs and RFPs.
• Implementation: Provide assistance in the implementation and integration resulting from a vendor's proposal. Including, but not limited to, evaluation of acceptance tests conduction.
• Continuum of Services: Provide technical assistance to the customers by identifying and providing additional training needs, exercise coordination, and system utilization evaluations.
