Company Description:
Our client is a semiconductor IP licensing firm specializing in innovative LDMOS (Laterally Diffused Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor) architecture, with a focus on enhancing cost, performance, and reliability for power management integrated circuits (PMICs) and other power devices.
Major Responsibilities:
Lead the power electronics circuit development as technical expert & individual contributor
Identify best-fit circuit applications for leveraging the Hybrid Source LDMOS
Analyze component design requirements and architecture solutions for DC-DC, AC-DC, battery powered electronics and other power system applications
Develop derivative High-Side and Low-Side FETs for smart power stages that leverage the No Snapback, No Punch Through, Enhanced HCI innovation
Implement strategy to fully leverage Retrograde Body to minimize RDSON for a given Breakdown Voltage
Create novel device approaches that optimize existing BCD processes
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 15 years of practical design experience in power design
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Proven history of technical innovation, leadership and project planning/execution
Detailed circuit design with a variety of power conversion applications
Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive device and applications experience with LDMOS architectures
Proficient in power device and circuit characterization and Key FOMs
Familiar with foundry interface and PDK specifications
Experience with Cadence Virtuoso or Synopsys Custom Design platforms, along with SPICE and TCAD simulation tools for power switching circuit applications
