Company Description:

Our client is a nimble arm of a multi-billion-dollar Global corporation that develops leading edge solutions for critical communications for first responders including Police, Fire, and Federal Government customers.

The Program Manager will successfully deliver complex Land Mobile Radio (LMR) projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Interface directly with the customer through the entire process of the project; presenting and managing the implementation plan while acting as the primary contact for any project related issues.
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME) cross functionally to establish risk analysis and mitigation plans, work breakdown structures, schedules, financial plans
  • Forecast revenue, track schedule, risks, product cost, and project expenses
  • Drive execution of the project and key milestones ensuring company and customer expectations are met
  • Coordinate across all functions, such as: Order Entry, Staging, Finance, Purchasing, and Implementation
  • Generate and track integrated program schedules using MS Project
  • Facilitate effective verbal and written communication across the organization
  • Drive development of 3rd party contracts (Contract, SOW, Schedule, etc.)
  • Manage designated 3rd party contracts controlling and authorizing specific work, approving work, and managing contract details to include payments
  • Prepare and present applicable management reports and evaluations including technical, financial, business, and logistical reports to corporate shareholders and customers
  • Respond to special assignments/projects as directed by management
  • Be Accountable for overall profit and loss of job (Gross Margin) and customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4,500 hours directing or leading project teams
  • Minimum three years of leading unique non-overlapping projects
  • 5+ years Program or Project Management experience
  • PMP certification or able to sit and pass the Project Management Institute PMP Certification test within months of hire
  • Wireless communications system project management background required with LMR system experience preferred
  • Strong team building and leadership skills
  • Quickly grasps complex business or technology problems and drives them to resolution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
  • Extensive experience with MS Project, Excel, Visio, Word and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Product Development Life Cycle Processes preferred
