Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Key Account Manager to manage and grow our relationship with Charter Communications. The primary objective of this role is to drive “design-in” sales, successfully navigating Charter’s engineering and procurement organizations to have our client’s products approved and integrated into Charter’s technology solutions and deployment strategies.
This is a remote position requiring a self-starter with deep knowledge of the telecom infrastructure landscape and a proven track record of selling complex hardware products to large ISPs/Cable operators.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Account Management: Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies to increase revenue and product footprint within Charter.
Design-In Sales Focus: Drive the technical approval process. Interface with Charter engineers, product managers, and decision-makers to get products qualified, validated, and designed into their infrastructure.
Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships at multiple levels within Charter, from procurement to senior engineering leadership.
Sales Cycle Management: Manage complex, long-cycle sales processes from initial engagement to RFP/RFQ, final approval, and product rollout.
Market Intelligence: Stay updated on Charter’s infrastructure initiatives, network requirements, and competitive activity to proactively identify new opportunities.
Internal Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between Charter and internal teams (Product Management, Engineering, Logistics) to ensure customer requirements are met.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of B2B sales experience, specifically selling telecom, networking, or technology hardware into Charter ecosystem.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of broadband technology, CPE, DOCSIS, fiber networking, or related telecom infrastructure.
Sales Approach: Proven experience in complex, consultative “design-in” or “spec-in” sales cycles.
Negotiation Skills: Excellent contract negotiation and closing skills.
Location: Remote (USA), with the ability to travel to meet with Charter stakeholders as needed.
