Description:

US Low Voltage Contractor based in South East looking for experienced Design Engineer near Nashville, TN. A candidate from a few hours away may be ok to work remotely with occasionally travel into the office in Nashville.

Must have extensive knowledge and experience with designing and installing Low Voltage Cabling Systems including Structured Voice/Data Solutions, BAS, DAS, AV, and Security transport as well as telecommunications room design and layout, distribution systems, pathways, network interfaces and equipment. Experience with Fire Alarm systems is desired but not required.

Must be proficient with Word, Excel, Adobe DC or Bluebeam, Visio and experience or proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit a plus but not required.

Bicsi Designated RCDD is desired but not necessarily required. Desired skill level is someone with similar attributes and knowledge as an RCDD.

Activities and Duties include:

• Work closely with customer, end user and company design team to coordinate work area outlets, design pathways and infrastructure systems to support horizontal workstation cabling and inside and outside plant distribution systems and pathways, as well as equipment room and data room design and layout.
• Coordinate with architects and other trade engineers for support services such as power and HVAC systems.
• Consider local, state, federal codes and regulations and industry standards and practices.
• Work with Revit/AutoCAD operator.
• Use experience and knowledge to design solutions that meet the customer’s requirements.
• Work well independently and with other team members.
• Be capable of working flexible hours to meet very stringent delivery schedules.
• Be willing to travel on occasion.

Must be able to pass drug and background checks, have a valid driver’s license and be a US Citizen.
