Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented individual to join their team as a Business Development Representative (BDR) & Account Executive. This unique role is ideal for someone who excels at initiating relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and possesses the drive and capability to nurture those leads through the sales pipeline to a successful close. Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation & Qualification (BDR Focus):

  • Proactively engage and relationships with potential customers through various channels (e.g., online research, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, industry events, cold calling, email campaigns).
  • Conduct initial outreach to prospective clients to introduce the company’s solutions and assess their needs.
  • Qualify leads based on established criteria.
  • Schedule discovery calls, demos and meetings for yourself and/or senior sales team members as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospective activities in our Salesforce system.

Sales & Closing (Inside Sales Focus):

  • Conduct in-depth discovery calls to understand client pain points, challenges, and goals related to their networking infrastructure.
  • Develop and present compelling solutions tailored to individual client needs, demonstrating a deep understanding of the company’s product and service offerings.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition and ROI of company solutions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to negotiation and closing deals.
  • Prepare and deliver professional proposals and presentations.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proposed solutions meet client requirements.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to optimize lead generation strategies and campaigns.
  • Provide market feedback and insights to product development and sales leadership.
  • Continuously learn and stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and the company’s evolving product portfolio.
  • Contribute to a positive and high-energy team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or inside sales role, with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding targets. Experience in closing deals is highly preferred.
  • Networking/Technology Acumen: A strong interest in and understanding of networking technologies (e.g., fiber internet, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, VoIP, managed IT services, cloud connectivity). While not required to be an engineer, the ability to grasp technical concepts and articulate them clearly is essential.
  • Excellent Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with prospects at all levels.
  • Strong Persuasion & Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated ability to influence decisions and close sales.
  • Self-Motivated & Proactive: Highly organized, disciplined, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • CRM Proficiency: Experience with Salesforce for lead tracking, reporting, and pipeline management.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify client needs and propose creative, effective solutions.
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Preferred, but not required with relevant experience.
