Summary:

The National Accounts Manager, MSO is a dynamic and results-driven individual responsible for driving sales growth and achieving sales targets for customers purchasing micro-cabling systems (MCS). This role involves developing and implementing effective sales strategies, cultivating strong relationships with both existing and prospective customers, and effectively managing resources to maximize sales outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactical plans to achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) within the industry vertical MCS. This vertical includes middle-mile, regional, and long-haul fiber network deployments to customers such as ISPs, municipalities, EMCs, government agencies, and hyperscalers.
  • Identify key opportunities for growth and develop specific action plans to capitalize on them.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing customers, acting as a trusted advisor and point of contact.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities nationwide, building a robust pipeline of potential clients.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements and effectively communicate the value proposition of the company’s products and services.

Sales Execution:

  • Execute the full sales cycle, including identifying prospects, conducting compelling presentations and product demonstrations, negotiating terms, and successfully closing deals.
  • Effectively manage and prioritize sales activities to maximize efficiency and results.
  • Meet or exceed established sales quotas and performance metrics.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze sales data, track individual performance against established goals, and identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare accurate and timely sales reports for management, providing insights into customer planning and forecasting future sales.

Market Analysis:

  • Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer needs within the assigned vertical MCS.
  • Identify potential threats and opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Provide valuable market feedback to internal teams, including marketing and product development.

Budget Management:

  • Manage assigned sales budgets effectively, allocate resources strategically, and track expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness.

Compliance:

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all sales activities.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Strong Sales Skills: Proven ability to effectively identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities, with a demonstrable track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional ability to build rapport and establish strong relationships with customers and team members. Ability to present information clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong Organizational and Time Management Skills: Excellent ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, meet deadlines, and effectively manage a dynamic workload.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze sales data, identify key trends and challenges, and develop effective solutions to overcome obstacles and drive sales growth.
  • Solid Product Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the company’s products and services, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages. Ability to effectively articulate this knowledge to customers.
  • Exceptional Customer Service Skills: Commitment to providing excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively, and building long-term customer loyalty.
  • Travel: Must be able to travel within the US and some limited international travel – up to 75%.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • Sales experience within Telecom Industry.
