Our client is a Global Wireless Product Manufacturer

Overall Scope of the Position:

The President/CEO oversees and sets strategic, operational, and tactical strategies for the company’s worldwide efforts. The position has oversight to all functional groups in the US and European locations. In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for operation of the company’s Executive Board & Senior Management team. The position represents the company in all legal proceedings, contracts, and commitments. The President & CEO has sign-off on company financial decisions including banking, loans, debt, and contracts.

General Responsibilities:

• Overseeing budgets, staff, and executives responsible for the success of the company.
• Meeting with board members and other executives to assess the direction of the company, including the development of short and long-term goals, plans, and strategies, and ensuring the company’s compliance with the stated mission.
• Overseeing the complete operation of the company and ensuring all goals are met based on the company’s strategic plans.
• Overseeing the strategic product and family development, maintaining constant awareness, and insight into the Wireless Technology eco-system.
• Maintaining close awareness and knowledge of the company’s finances.
• Monitoring worldwide economic movements that might affect the company’s products, profitability, labor availability and costs, component costs, and making plans that effectively address issues.
• Updating and revising plans to increase the company’s profitability and progress towards growth goals.
• Creating and maintaining relationships with the community and industry leaders and encouraging business investments.
• Searching for alliances, mergers, partnerships, and investment opportunities
• Maintaining knowledge of tax liabilities, implications to stakeholders, exemptions, as well as finances and operations.

Candidate Knowledge Base and Characteristics:

• Wireless Industry experience, especially Antenna experience in Infrastructure, Satellite, DAS or embedded systems is highly desirable.
• Gateway or modem Manufacturing experience, including wireless broadband equipment, wireless modules, sub-assemblies, interfaces, hubs etc. is desirable.
• International Sales or Organizational Development, International Manufacturing oversight or strategic planning for Global business growth.
• Experience in arranging & developing major international partnerships.
• Experience coordinating joint R & D projects or having been a lead in a prior acquisition or merger.
• Proof of having introduced Visionary & “Passion” projects.
• HIGH Emotional IQ and adaptability to the environment long established at the company.

Personal Requirements:

• Entrepreneurial & visionary, willingness to push forth on new projects and processes, and strategies.
• Working knowledge of accounting, manufacturing, engineering, and Sales/Marketing functions
• Ability to assess financial statements and budget documents, and to develop strategies.
• Outward personality, ability to foster and cultivate business opportunities and partnerships.
• Ability to communicate highly effectively in both written and verbal forms.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Education & Experience Requirement:

• A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering or a related field
• Post secondary degree or certifications in business planning, entrepreneurship, leadership development or an MBA.
• 20+ years’ industry experience gained from working one’s way up the corporate ladder through various strategic roles.
• Pattern of continuing self-education, research, personal development, and global awareness.
• Financial and operational knowledge of various electronics industries.
