Our client has won multiple awards as a top dealer for one of the major manufacturers of two-way radio systems. They are seeking a customer relationship-oriented, technically minded professional to join their growing team as a. Sr. Installation and Customer Support Technician for two-way radio systems.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys both technology and customer relationships. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to customers by designing, installing, supporting, and recommending complete communication system solutions.

This individual will work closely with customers to understand their operational needs, recommend integrated communication solutions, configure and support equipment, and help ensure successful implementation.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable collaborating with manufacturer’s engineers, project managers, facility managers, safety managers, construction supervisors, and end users as they are designing, programming, troubleshooting, and implementing complex communication systems.

Technical Solutions & Support:

  • Program, configure, and support two-way radio systems and related communication equipment.
  • Assist with installation, system implementation, and customer training.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system integration issues.
  • Coordinate warranty repairs and technical support activities.
  • Provide ongoing technical guidance to customers after installation.
  • Support complex communication projects from planning through implementation.

Customer Development:

  • Develop and grow long-term relationships with existing customers while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Meet with customers to evaluate operational and communication needs.
  • Recommend complete communication system solutions, including radios, dispatch, infrastructure, accessories, and related technologies.
  • Prepare quotations and proposals and manage opportunities through closing.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and customer presentations.
  • Work with manufacturers, distributors, and internal team members to develop the best technical solution for each customer.
  • You may also represent our client at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with radio systems is preferred. Experience with other communications systems, electronics, IT, networking, or related technical fields may be considered.
  • Good communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel overnight as needed.
