Responsibilities:

The Systems Sales Engineer (SE) is the primary technical resource for the LMR systems sales team, actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with systems sales as a trusted advisor and product advocate to the customer.

  • The SE owns the development and execution of the technology strategy
  • You will work with the systems sales team, shaping and responding to technical elements of RFx’s.
  • You will convey customer requirements to the sales support team and product Line management.
  • You will present end-to-end P25/LMR/LTE solutions, identifying technical issues throughout the sales process while establishing strong customer and strategic partner relationships.
  • The SE will deliver pre-sales P25/LMR/LTE product demonstrations to customers, including at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
  • There will be 50% or more overnight travel with periods of week-long absences when preparing bid responses or attending shows and seminars.

Qualifications:

  • BSEE, CE, or related degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Sales or Solutions engineering or related experience in the LMR space, including responsibilities of delivering customer presentations, establishing, and maintaining strategies, reviewing status with team members and reporting.
  • Experience and technical background within the Public Safety communications, including LMR solutions and LTE.
  • P25 Systems Experience is a plus.
  • Previous successful larges system ($5M plus) sales experience in the State and Local market.
  • Knowledge of the state and local political processes
  • Proficiency in producing documents and spreadsheets with windows-based software, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working directly with customers and internal staff
  • Excellent presentation skills to small and large audiences including both customers and executive management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and lead teams with a common goal
