New Job Opportunity: Technical Software Support Specialist – Virtual Office

Summary:

The primary role is to provide functional and technical support for company products and related system software.  A secondary role may include providing remote training for company products and related system software.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • First and second tier support for software products via telephone or email to Customers and Managed Services Organization
  • Remote training of software products
  • Remote installation and upgrade for software products
  • Communicate to customers the steps necessary to maintain and update software products
  • Assist in documentation of software products
  • Assist in testing new releases
  • Any other duties and/or responsibilities as may be assigned
  • Monitoring on a daily basis the Cloud Customers systems for backup and collection
  • Resolving Cloud Customers issues related to daily processes

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge or experience with telecom, including call detail records or Call Accounting
  • Knowledge and experience working with Linux, Scripting (Phyton), Asterisk, SIP Protocol
  • Experience with contact center software support
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet SLA’s and deadlines
  • Ability to promptly answer support related email, phone calls and other electronic communications
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability and willingness to log/document communications with customers, problems they experienced, and resolutions implemented
  • Self-Motivated, detail-oriented and organized
  • Experience with hardware and software issues
  • Proficient in Internet related applications such as E-Mail clients, FTP clients, and Web Browsers
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of MS SQL 2014, 2016, 2019, MS SQL Express, SQL Report Generation (Crystal / MS SSRS), MS Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, MYSQL, and .NET.

Education and Experience:

  • College degree preferred; or three or more years related experience of related support and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
